On April 12, Istituto Marangoni in Mumbai welcomed a host of fashion brands, social media influencers, photographers, and media professionals to network and forge collaborations to take advantage of how technology is shaping India’s fashion industry. Participating brands included Boheco, Gundi Studios, Pani Swimwear, Starch The Label, Sko Shoes, Seam, and U/A Atelier. The brands showcased their products and also took the opportunity to advertise positions they are hiring for and collaboration opportunities.

Dysco’s second Beta & Beyond featured a number of talks by speakers including Stylecracker co-founder Archana Walavalkar, celebrity stylist Antara Motiwala Marwah, Marcel Exports partner Renuka Advani, Gundi Studios founder Natasha Sumant and fashion photographer Gaurav Sawn.

“We’re a luxury bespoke menswear brand, with 3 stores in Mumbai,” an attendee from Herringbone & Sui told Money Control at the event. “We do everything from western to Indian wear, offering an array of fabrics and custom hand embroidered garments as well. We’re attending because we’d like to collaborate with like-minded people. We’re also constantly looking to hire and tie up with stylists/photographers.”

The event is part of a series where Dysco is working to create offline links between online businesses. With the increasing digitisation of India’s fashion industry, Dysco aims to help businesses to adapt and get the most out of these new opportunities.
