Drawn will launch its Summer 2022 collection, which includes the collaborative pieces made with Tanya Timble, on May 15, the brand announced in a press release. Timble’s Summer Siesta print depicts tigers lounging amongst leaves and lilies in a feminine yet bold art style.  The decision to depict tigers comes from Timble’s inspiration drawn from the current Chinese year of the tiger and the recent Lunar New Year.

Timble was inspired to use a vibrant colour palette for the print by the city of Jaipur which is known for its bright hues. The artist was also inspired by the simple yet emotive style of traditional miniature paintings from the pink city.

The print has been used for three different styles in Drawn’s Summer 2022 collection: an oversized bib-dress, a scalloped shift dress, and a frilled skirt. The oversized print adds a touch of playful artistry to Drawn’s new collection.

“This artwork is inspired by optimism post covid– things are opening in full bloom, people are now appreciating nature more than ever before,” said Timble in a press release. “It makes you hopeful for a brighter future.”
