The ‘Doodlage x Iro Iro’ collaboration saw the two sustainable brands work with local artisans from villages around Jaipur, to create a line of home furnishings and garments including robes, slippers, cushion covers, table runners, and mats, the brands announced. The collection launched on Doodlage’s dedicated e-commerce store and is priced between Rs 5,200 ($71.43) and Rs 600.

“This layered project has allowed us to experiment with and explore alternatives, in collaboration with the extremely capable team at Iro Iro,” a Doodlage spokesperson told Vogue India, about the collaboration.

“We worked with local artisans from villages near Jaipur, who helped create this collection from their houses, operating with all precautions through this pandemic.”

“Indigo chronicles' tells the story of the vast textile industry of Jaipur through waste,” Doodlage announced on its website and e-commerce store. “Indigo, a commonly used natural dye for all kinds of hand printing in Jaipur, is easy to spot around the city.”

Kriti Tula and Paras Arora launched Doodlage as an ethical fashion brand with the aim of increasing sustainable textile production and agriculture. The brand has a flagship ‘Experience Centre’ in New Delhi and also retails from a range of multi-brand stores both off- and online.
