Dollar Industries Q2 net profit jumps 99 percent to Rs 44 crore

Textiles major Dollar Industries Limited consolidated net profit rose 99 percent to Rs 44 crore ($6 million) for the second quarter ended September 2021, as against Rs 22 crore it posted in the year-ago period.
 

The company’s revenue for the quarter rose by 52 percent to Rs 391 crore, as against Rs 257 crore it reported in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
 
“The financial results for the second quarter of FY21-22 indicates that the company has been able to align itself with its growth trajectory as we have witnessed a greater demand for our products in the market,” Vinod Kumar Gupta, managing director at Dollar Industries Limited, said in a press release.

“This October, we launched our first exclusive brand outlet (EBO) in Ayodhya and plan to launch similar outlets pan-India. We would continue to focus on increasing our reach and range at the retail level to grow further,” Gupta added.
 
The Kolkata-based knitwear manufacturer Dollar Industries Ltd had recently revamped its brand identity with the launch of a new logo and campaign, ‘Wear the change’, to project itself as a youthful brand. The company plans to open 10 new outlets in the coming quarters.
