Divya Khosla Kumar to turn showstopper for Parvathi Dasari at LFW

Chennai-based designer Parvathi Dasari will have actress-director Divya Khosla Kumar walk the ramp for her as the showstopper at the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Summer/Resort 2019.
 

Dasari will be making her debut at the Lakme Fashion Week showcasing her new collection 'The Tropical Paradise' on February 1. The nature-inspired collection is aimed at creating awareness around saving nature.
 
Commenting on her collection, Dasari in a statement said, "My new collection will be showcasing vintage yet contemporary designs in the six-yard wonders, lehengas, and anarkalis bearing the hallmark of exquisite craftsmanship, heritage, and intricacy. Through my collection, I am trying to bring back the old traditional weaves and handlooms. Inspired by jungle and animals, my new collection is a small initiative by me to encourage people to save nature and conserve the environment.”

Divya Khosla Kumar, added, “I am very excited to be back on the ramp and walk for Parvathi Dasari who has worked extensively with the weavers of India. The beauty of her designs is how she has used age-old weaves and created modern designs in traditional Indian silhouettes.”
 
The Summer/Resort 2019 edition of Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) organised by IMG Reliance Ltd in collaboration with Lakme will commence on January 30 and conclude on February 3 in the city of Mumbai.
