Dior launches India-exclusive bag with Ananya Panday

Dior has launched a signature Lady Dior handbag featuring a print from its fall 2023 runway show as an exclusive for the Indian market. The handbag has launched with Bollywood celebrity Ananya Panday.

Dior’s new India exclusive bag comes in bright ‘Rani Pink’ and features a ‘Toile De Jouy Voyage’ print brimming with botanical illustrations and animals including elephants and tigers, designed by the artist Pietro Ruffo. The bag was announced with Panday and will retail in India at both the Dior Boutique at Taj Mahal Palace Hotel Mumbai and at the Dior boutique at DLF Emporio Mall in New Delhi, Vogue India reported. 
 
The handbag follows the brand’s signature ‘Lady Dior’ construction and is adorned with gold charms spelling ‘Dior’. The bag will be available in limited quantities and is made from calfskin. 

Dior has been increasing its focus on the Indian market and recently held its Fall 2023 runway show in the country on March 31 at Mumbai’s Gateway of India. The collection was presented in collaboration with the Chanakya School of Art, an institute with which Dior has partnered with for several years. The Chanakya School of Art’s artisans fabricated many of the weaves, prints, and hand embroidered pieces used in the collection.
