Diamond manufacturer Shree Ramkrishna Exports launches blood donation drive in Surat

Diamond manufacturing business Shree Ramkrishna Exports held a two-day blood donation drive at its green crafting facilities ‘SRK Empire’ and ‘SRK House’ in Surat.

The blood donation drive was conducted in partnership with Surat’s Kiran Multi Super Speciality Hospital, the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council reported on its website. The drive saw the collection of more than 500 units of blood from 10% of SRK’s total employee base, including senior company officials, according to the business. 
 
“As an essential part of SRK’s value ecosystem, we look forward to upholding only the highest standards towards enhancing the health and safety of our people and communities,” said the business’ head of resources and operations Akshaybhai Dholakia, the GJEPC reported. “I am extremely happy to see the enthusiastic participation of our people in the blood donation camp. We shall continue with our efforts towards social upliftment of the society.”

The drive is part of SRK’s wider charitable efforts. The diamond business runs numerous charitable initiatives relating to both healthcare and environmental concerns. SRK’s diamond crafting facility was named as the world’s greenest building in 2021 by the Arc Leaders and Performers Platform for operational performance in minimising the environmental impact and committing to sustainability through LEED.
