Dhami London expands international footprint

Luxury footwear brand Dhami London is expanding its size and product range, and recently launched in a number of stores in the Middle East, with further international retail points planned. 

Launched by Rajasthan-born Priyanka Dhami, Dhami London recently started retailing its brand of opulent women’s footwear from the Abu Dhabi-based group of luxury concept department stores Tryano, as well as Salam stores across Doha. The brand is also currently in talks with luxury department store Harrods in London, about retail opportunities, Vogue India reported. 
 
Dhami London plans to broaden its size range next season to be more size inclusive. The brand also plans to add a new heel height, 110mm, to its collection, along with new designs. The brand’s current collection features gold hardware and Swarovski crystals with a jewel toned colour palette.  

Dhami was inspired by her battle with polio as a child and subsequent need for comfortable footwear to create a brand that mixes the bright aesthetics of Jaipur with comfort and practicality. 
 
"Shoes were a huge obstacle. I had to wear medical shoes to make sure I was comfortable, and this really drove me into creating elegant, statement footwear that makes every woman feel beautiful,” the self-taught footwear designer told Vogue India.
