The Dhaka International Yarn and Fabric Show has rescheduled its 17th edition to July 13 to 16 at the International Convention City in Basundhara, Dhaka. The event will hold its 18th edition from September 2 to 5, 2020.

The DIFS will now hold its 17th edition in July in Dhaka - DIFS- Facebook

The DIFS trade show announced on Facebook that its 17th edition has been rescheduled to July amid global trade disruption and travel bans due to the coronavirus outbreak. The event is organised by US-based exhibition and convention facilitator Cems Global and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and caters to international textile manufacturers, buyers, wholesalers, and distributors. It was previously scheduled from February 26 to 29.

The trade show expects around 300 international and Bangladeshi exhibitors, with a large contingent from India. According to the DIFS, Bangladesh is the second largest apparel exporter in the world and the country’s government aims to increase its apparel exports to $50 billion (Rs 3.3 lakh crore) by the year 2021.

“Don't miss this opportunity and join us in the upcoming exhibition to showcase all range of yarn, fabrics, trims, and accessories,” the company announced on Facebook. “Meet potential buyers from the Bangladeshi market and expand your business.”

The trade show, despite its new summer date, will feature products for the winter season. The event’s 18th edition, planned for September in Dhaka, will showcase products for the summer 2021 season.
