Designer brand Label Ritu Kumar names Shanaya Kapoor as brand ambassador

Designer brand Label Ritu Kumar has named Bollywood actor Shanaya Kapoor as its brand ambassador. Kapoor will be seen endorsing the brand’s latest collections in a series of campaigns across digital platforms.
 

Commenting on the association with the actor, Amrish Kumar, managing and creative director at Ritu Kumar, in a statement said: “Shanaya’s bold, joyful spirit is infectious on the screen. She has a great sense of style and being a natural dancer, she was the ideal face for the Label Ritu Kumar.”
 
Commenting on the association, Shanaya Kapoor added: “Label Ritu Kumar is the epitome of being spontaneous and stylish mixed with a little fun and embraces my edgy yet carefree vibe extremely well. It’s all about being comfortable in your skin and that’s what I believe in most. I’m very grateful and super excited to be the face for the brand.”

The brand plans to diversify its portfolio this season by launching new categories and collections targeted at young urban Indian women. The new collections will be available across India and internationally in Label Ritu Kumar stores and its online store.
 
Designer Ritu Kumar launched her eponymous brand in 1969 and has become known for her championing of Indian heritage textiles. Kumar runs labels like Ritu Kumar, Label Ritu Kumar, Ri Ritu Kumar, and new line Ritu Kumar Home.
