Designer Agnimitra Paul speaks at Retail India Summit

The fashion designer Agnimitra Paul spoke at the recent Retail India Summit as part of the “Trends in Demand” panel talk. Paul also recently organised a two-day charity fundraiser to support female entrepreneurs.

Paul joined speakers including Dhruv Dubey of Spencers and Raj Banerjee of Big Bazaar among others to discuss upcoming retail trends for 2019 at the Retail India Summit. The government event was organised by the president of the Indian Chamber of Commerce, Rudra Chatterjee, and director general Rajiv Singh and saw the two discuss the Indian retail landscape with members of the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises and the Consumer Affairs Department.

“It was a privilege to be a panelist at the Indian Chamber of Commerce’s third Retail India Summit and speak on “Trends in Demand” along with my very esteemed co-speakers,” wrote Paul on her social media.

Paul also recently organised a two-day long fundraising exhibition to benefit female entrepreneurs. The event was organised in association with the Sarojini Nalini Dutt Memorial Association and was held at the Saroj Nalini Dutt Memorial Hall. Paul inaugurated the fundraiser which included around 180 stalls of female-owned businesses selling products ranging from pashminas and sarees to handcrafted items and organic food.
