Designer Shilpi Gupta opens its first store in New Delhi

Designer Shilpi Gupta has opened her first flagship store at the Defence Colony in the national capital New Delhi. The store was inaugurated by Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra.
 

The store is located at D-25 Defence Colony is spread over an area of 1800 square feet and will house the brand’s bridal couture collection, mehendi and cocktail collection and the brand’s latest pret line.
 
The designer also launched her new collection ‘Raas’ on the occasion which is inspired by romance and adulation for the Hindu figure Krishna.

Commenting on the launch of her store, founder Shilpi Gupta in a statement said, “I am delighted to launch my flagship atelier in Defence Colony. My vision of amalgamating the use of traditional embroideries with contemporary and fresh designs has fructified with the launch of our latest couture collection Raas.”
 
“I hope that my endeavor to promote our Indian culture and textiles, and showcase my artistic creations will help embody the true spirit of fashion,” Gupta added.
 
Talking about Gupta’s new collection, Shetty said, "Shilpi's collections are very beautiful. I really love the colours and how each dress has its own story to tell. Her designs are very intriguing and one can easily notice that she has done it with a lot of vibrant colours.”
