Multi-brand fashion shopping event Design One has gone online during lockdown and launched a series of fashion seminars. The event has also launched a charitable initiative with the Shraddha Charitable Trust.

As lockdown and its aftermath have seen multi-brand shopping exhibitions across India cancelled, Design One has replaced a lack of events with an increased online presence. The fashion event has launched the web series ‘Front Row with Design One’, broadcast live on Instagram every Wednesday evening, to keep its customers engaged.
Design One’s first Front Row episode featured designer Gaurav Gupta in conversation with Aishwarya Nair. Gupta shared his sustainable vision for the future of Indian fashion and spoke about the importance of up-cycling and recycling. On July 22, Anushka Rajan Doshi will speak with Aaliya Nensey of The Image Code on wardrobe curation.
Design One has also partnered with the Shraddha Charitable Trust to turn old banners and flexes from previous Design One exhibitions into handbags and stationery, it announced on Facebook. Producing the products reduces waste and aids the charity, which works with and trains young adults with autism.
Design One is a fund raising initiative by the Sahachari Foundation, which aims to raise funds through fashion. Launched in 2009, the fashion event usually holds numerous editions a year both in India and overseas.
