Design One holds festive fashion event in New Delhi
The multi-brand fashion exhibition Design One is holding a shopping festival at the Taj Palace in New Delhi from September 2-3 and has brought 120 luxury labels to the capital for a festive themed showcase.
This season, Design One has curated a selection of luxury and bridge-to-luxury brands spanning product categories including womenswear, children’s wear, home décor, accessories, and lifestyle goods. Just some of the featured brands include Kunza, Jajaabor, Parmaa by Pratima Pandey, Ashima Singh, SanskaraPY, Saaksha & Kinni, Dhruv Kapoor, and Rajat Tangri among others.
Hemant & Nandita has curated a selection of its luxury resort wear for the event including mixed-print dresses and floaty separates. SWGT has brought along its latest collection “Verdant Valley” fresh from the runway at the recent Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai which features dramatic all-black ensembles and contrast-texture textiles. Nazar by Indu Abbot has brought along a mix of festive couture and elegant traditional wear.
Anavila has brought along its “celebration collection” titled “Joy” which features simply tailored, loose linen separates in contrasting hues. The brand recently shot a campaign for the collection in Ladakh and contrasted the area’s bleak yet beautiful landscape with the collection’s simple yet refined aesthetic.
Design One is an annual fund-raising fashion event organised by the Sahachari Foundation. The event was first launched in September 2009 and runs in several Indian metros as well as overseas.
