Denver signs Mahesh Babu as brand ambassador for South Indian market

Fragrance brand Denver has signed Telugu actor Mahesh Babu as its brand ambassador to make inroads in the South Indian market where the actor is hugely popular. The actor will be seen endorsing Denver deodorant in various marketing and promotional campaigns.

Denver is looking to cash in on the popularity of the actor in South India and further strengthen its position in the booming Indian deodorant market which is expected to grow with a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of more than 15% over next five years.
 
Denver currently enjoys a 2 percent market share in South India, while its pan-India market share is 7 percent.

Commenting on the association, Saurabh Gupta, marketing director at Denver, said: “We’ve created deep inroads within Hindi-speaking markets with Shah Rukh Khan as our brand ambassador. Now we also have Mahesh Babu on board, one of the well-known superstars of south India, as our second brand ambassador. We are confident that this association will enable us to reach out to and capture a much larger audience, thus significantly accelerating our growth in the South Indian market.”
 
Denver is owned by Vanesa Care Pvt Ltd, a leading company in perfumes and deodorants in India.
