Delhi's Select CityWalk to bring 10 fashion and beauty brands to the mall in FY20

The Delhi mall Select CityWalk will bring in 10 new fashion and beauty brands in the 2020 financial year and is in talks with Tom Ford Beauty and Aveda Hair Care among other international brands.

“We are in talks with two brands which have entered India, Tom Ford Beauty and Aveda Hair Care,” Select CityWalk’s executive director Yogeshwar Sharma told IndiaRetailing. “We also want to try and bring in the brand Kiehl’s in the beauty space and are in touch with them too. In the fashion category… We are also in talks with Polo Ralph Lauren to open a store in the mall.”

The mall recently added the fashion brand Ted Baker and sportswear brand Onitsuka Tiger to the mall and aims to add 10 more brands during the 2020 financial year. “To keep up the exclusivity, and consumer demands, we are partnering with a variety of brands present in the centre,” said Sharma. “The focus this year will be on three categories – fashion, beauty and curated food.” Sharma also mentioned that the mall has scope more more athleisure brands and an Under Armour store could be on the cards.

As well as opening permanent retail outlets, the mall has been hosting a number of pop-up shops to ascertain customer’s reactions to a number of fashion and beauty brands. Madison, House of Masaba, and Nicobar have all held pop-up events in the mall and Sharma said that he is open to the idea of opening small stores for certain brands in the future. 

Sharma stated that 50 percent of the mall is currently dedicated to fashion but that it provides 60 percent of the mall’s overall sales. The mall’s beauty category is also performing well and so Select CityWalk will focus on these two categories moving forward.
