Delhi Times India Showcase Week 2018 sees two days of fashion shows at Vasant Kunj

DLF Promenade Mall in Vasant Kunj hosted the Delhi Times India Showcase Week 2018 for two days of fashion shows that included designers Rina Dhaka and Mehraab.

Rina Dhaka opened the Delhi Times India Showcase Week 2018 with her spring 2019 collection inspired by a beach holiday. The collection featured floaty dresses and tunics. Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva 2017 Shraddha Shashidhar closed the show.

A bridal wear showcase included designs by Arun Ahuja, John Marya, Arti Talwar, and Anu Seth. The theme was destination weddings and Arun Ahuja made a statement by presenting a number of black wedding ensembles on the runway.

The fashion event, which ran from November 21 to 22, had a sportswear runway show that saw Built Natural showcase its sustainable athleisure.

“The concept behind our brand is to take fitness to another level and also promote the use of organic and natural fabrics while promoting fitness,” Bhavya Chawla, the founder of Built Natural, told the Delhi Times about the collection. “We have a special segment of clothes where we are using recycled polyester. We convert 20 PET bottles to make one T-shirt.”

Along with individual designer showcases, the event also featured ensembles styled with different designer pieces, available at the mall. International brands including G Star Raw, Promod, Aldo, Charles & Keith, and Steve Madden among others featured on the runway.

The event’s title sponsor was Danj Entertainment, the hair and makeup partner was Cleopatra, and the celebration partner was Miller.
