Decathlon opens its first store in Slovakia

The specialist in sports items has opened its first Slovakian store, a 22,000 ft² space located in the capital, Bratislava. Decathlon, which posted 8.2 billion euros in revenue, up 10.6%, in 2014, and which is now present in 21 countries, will be opening two more stores in Slovakia by the end of the year.

In 2014, Slovakia saw a 2.4% growth in its GDP, said the French Minister of Economy, Industry and Digital. Domestic consumption, which for a long time remained still, has picked up where exports, which have slightly slowed, have left off.
