Dash and Dot’s maiden collaborative line with Seema Gujral consists of 20 ensembles which aim to take Gujral’s dramatic couture aesthetics and turn them into a range of clothing with a more mass market appeal, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. The collection features custom embroidery, designed by Gujral, and also takes inspiration from Dash and Dot’s ready-to-wear staples.

“One of the most key learnings through this whole process has been to just watch Seema Gujral - how deeply involved and passionate she is, and at the same time how temperamentally even she remains at every point of time,” said Dash and Dot’s brand head Ashray Gujral, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. “The sense of calm has translated into the clothes to create a collection that is wholesome, complete and exquisite. This collection is the best of Dash and Dot with the grounded uniqueness of Seema Gujral, it is a means for a younger, more modern generation to own a piece of heritage couture.”

Seema Gujral launched her first production house, named Iris, in 1994 and later opened her first flagship store in Noida in 2010, according to Gujral’s website. Gupta now runs her design house from Noida with a team of around 1,500 employees and her brand retails with a range of multi-brand boutiques across India including Ogaan, Carma, Aza, and Ensemble among others.
