Dabur launches germ protection shampoo under ‘Vatika’ brand

India’s leading Ayurveda Company Dabur India Ltd has strengthened its Vatika portfolio with the launch of ‘germ protection shampoo', which it claims protect against germs and the coronavirus.
 

Dabur is expecting strong sales of its newly launched product, amid the second wave of Covid-19 in India and expects to cash-in on the pandemic with a focus on hair and scalp hygiene. The brand has launched its product in four bottles -- 80ml, 180ml, 440ml and 640ml -- priced at Rs 45 ($0.60), Rs 95, Rs 250 and Rs 400, respectively.
 
Commenting on the launch, Gaurav Parashar, marketing head hair care at Dabur India Ltd, in a statement said: “We are happy to add a new member to the Vatika brand. The new Vatika germ protection shampoo is a first-of-its-kind shampoo in the market which along with the benefits of natural ingredients, that Vatika Brand is known for, also helps to protect against germs and the coronavirus.

“The Covid pandemic has brought about a change in the consumer behavior and purchasing habits. While there is a huge thrust on protecting the hands and face, protecting the hair and scalp is a need that is growing. Keeping this in mind, we have launched Vatika germ protection shampoo,” Parashar added.
 
The Vatika germ protection shampoo will be available on leading e-commerce platforms and retail stores across the country. Dabur Ltd is one of the leading companies in India with a strong presence in the personal care segment.
