Dabur Group sets up Rs 21 crore care fund for Covid-19

The Dabur Group has earmarked Rs 21 crore ($3 million) to set up a 'Dabur Care Fund’ towards relief efforts to help those most affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The company will contribute Rs 11 crore from this fund to the Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situation Fund (PM CARES Fund).
 
The remaining Rs 10 crore will be used to support individuals engaged in frontline efforts to fight the virus and members of vulnerable sections of the society.

Apart from this, Dabur employees have also pledged to contribute their one-day gross salary to the PM CARES Fund.
 
Commenting on the initiative, Dabur India Ltd chairman Amit Burman in a statement said: “As a Group, we understand the importance of giving back to the communities where we operate. In these unprecedented times, the Dabur Group is committed to caring for the health and well-being of our partners and customers, while playing a constructive role in supporting the individuals on the frontlines of this battle against Covid-19.”
 
The Dabur Group has also started providing health & hygiene kits that include hand sanitisers, face masks and immunity-boosting medicine like Dabur Chyawanprash to police personnel, medical staff, sanitisation workers and its employees.
