Dabur India to invest Rs 550 crore to set up new plant in Madhya Pradesh

Home-grown FMCG company Dabur India has announced that it will be investing Rs 550 crore ($79.5 million) to set up a new manufacturing plant in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

The manufacturing unit will be spread over 51 acres of land and expected to be the largest manufacturing facility for Dabur worldwide. It is expected to create employment opportunities for around 3000 people.
 
Commenting on the investment, Dabur India Limited CEO Mohit Malhotra in a statement said, “This new facility will provide us the space needed to rapidly expand our production capacity to not only satisfy the growing demand for Ayurvedic products but also develop and launch innovative products for the future. The new factory is a step forward towards strengthening our position as the world's largest Ayurvedic products and medicines manufacturer.”

Dabur India Ltd executive director operations Shahrukh A Khan added, “This significant investment reflects Dabur's confidence in the future of Ayurveda and our strong commitment to Madhya Pradesh as a strategic manufacturing hub.”
