The Delhi Times Fashion Week (DTFW) drew to a close with designer showcase that included Malani Ramani, Poonam Bhagat, Nida Mahmood, and Suneet Varma who concluded the event with his showstopper Malavika Mohanan.

Suneet Varma closed the event with his collection “Elixir” and the Bollywood actress Malavika Mohanan closed the show in a white iridescent lehenga. The collection had a strong focus on evening wear for the upcoming winter/festive season and featured rich jewel tones such as deep blue. More casual elements were also present in the collection such as palazzo pants and kurtas. Varma will next take his collection to Dubai for a showcase.

Earlier in the day, Nida Mahmood showed a technicolour collection that featured a number of techniques including discharge printing, digital printing, digital hand embroidery, and fabric-folding embroidery. Models were styled in sunglasses and dramatic headdresses to match the theatrical nature of the clothing.

Malani Ramani presented a collection called Tribal Twist that featured animal prints made out of sequins, mini lengths, and sarees with high-splits. Ramani, who celebrated her birthday on the occasion, said that she enjoyed playing with colour for the show.

Poonam Bhagat presented a traditional wear collection called Twilight Gold that added Spanish elements to Indian heritage. Bhagat was inspired by the paintings of Vincent van Gough for her colour palette. Timsy Dhawan and Seema Kashyap also presented collections for the winter/festive season.

DTFW closed on September 24 at the Roseate Hotel in New Delhi and was organised by the Times Group.
