The vaccination drive gave over-18s the opportunity to get both doses of Covishield and the second dose of Covaxin through a walk-in administered by Fortis Healthcare, the Bajaj Foundation announced in a press release. Vaccinations were administered from 11am to 6pm each day during the drive with a team of medical personnel including doctors and ambulance on stand-by.

“Our vaccine drives aim to support the vaccine ecosystem in getting India vaccinated faster,” said Bajaj Foundation founder Pankaj Bajaj in a press release. “Malls are a happy place for people so this drive creates comfort for visitors and encourages them to get vaccinated. We are normalizing the vaccination experience in an endeavor to steer clear of the third wave.”

By offering registration online, the Bajaj Foundation aimed to make the process as simple and accessible as possible. The drive also encouraged people to return to malls.

DLF Avenue announced on June 27 that it is now open to shoppers every day of the week and that all of its staff are vaccinated. The mall has also offered shoppers in-store discounts when they show proof of vaccination in a bid to ensure the mall remains a Covid-19-free zone.
