Crocs and Chumbak join forces for India footwear collection

Footwear brand Crocs has announced its first ever Indian collaboration and joined forces with accessories and lifestyle brand Chumbak to launch a line of bright, plastic clogs named ‘It’s a Vibe’. 

The collaborative collection launched on multi-brand footwear e-commerce store Superkicks on May 27, the business announced on Instagram. The line also launched on Friday morning on Myntra’s e-commerce platform as well as in select Crocs and Chumbak stores in India. 
 
With an eclectic, youthful aesthetic, the collection, along with its advertising campaign, is designed to speak to a Gen Z audience. Crocs are printed with ikat textile-esque prints in bright blues, pinks, and ivories for a summery feel and the gender neutral collection has an optimistic, vibrant aesthetic. 

The Crocs also feature specially designed ‘jibbitz’, plastic charms which can be added to crocs to customise them. The charms include owls, rainbows, flowers, text, paisley designs, tigers, and elephants among others, all in Chumbak’s signature cartoon-traditional style. 
 
The Chumbak x Crocs collection is also Chumbak’s first foray into footwear. The brand specialises in homeware from tableware to home textiles with products ranging from tea pots and water bottles to cushions, blankets, and plant pots among others.
