Crafts in Fashion knowledge sharing event runs in New Delhi

The India Fashion Awards and India Craft Week joined forces to launch knowledge sharing event ‘Crafts in Fashion’. The event took place at the NSIC in Okhla, New Delhi and also featured an awards ceremony and shopping fair. 

The event took place on the occasion of the sixth International Crafts Awards and fourth edition of India Craft Week, India Craft Week announced on Facebook. The Crafts in Fashion talk was moderated by Craft Village founder Somesh Singh and included insights from fashion designer, Samant Chauhan and Vaishali Shadangule, textile expert Gaurang Shah, and design duo Ashima & Leena among others. 
 
“No maker starts out at the top, it's a journey of hard work, experimentation, failure, perseverance, dedication, learning and creativity,” India Craft Week announced on Facebook. “The Balvenie, together with India Craft Week, is celebrating the persistence and commitment of individuals and their crafts to build an inclusive community of makers who put their heart into everything they do.” 

The event featured a ‘Five Senses’ presentation which mixed whiskey by sponsor The Balvenie with insights into crafts. Along with awards and seminars, the event also featured a business-to-customer sale with a wide range of products such as accessories and homeware for the Diwali season.
