American cosmetics group Coty is said to be seeking 700 million dollars in an initial public offering and is likely to become public in the next month according to the New York Times, who cited sources close to the matter.

The perfumery company backed away from the offering last year in order to focus on a hostile takeover of Avon, one of Coty's top competitors. The 10.7 billion offer was not accepted. At a time where stock ratings are at their all-time high, an IPO is once again on the horizon for the company.
