Coty: Elio Leoni Sceti appointed CEO

Perfume-maker Coty has just appointed Elio Leoni Sceti to the position of CEO. An appointment that follows the departure of Michele Scannavini who, after spending 10 years at Coty, left his position as CEO in September 2014, citing "personal reasons". Bart Becht, Coty’s current interim CEO and Chairman, will remain Chairman following the transition.

Aged 49, Elio Leoni Sceti, who will officialy take on the role as of 1 July, is currently the CEO of the Iglo group, the frozen food company. Before that he was the CEO of EMI Music. His career highlights also include positions at Procter & Gamble and 16 years spent at Reckitt Benckiser. 

At Coty, which saw its sales in 2014 drop 2.5% to 4.6 billion dollars, Elio Leoni Sceti will notably be responsible for overseeing the growth of the company’s portfolio of leading brands in the fragrances, colour cosmetics and skin and body care categories (O.P.I, Philisophy, etc.).
