Cortefiel brands Springfield and Women's Secret launch in Bengaluru
Tablez India of Lulu Group International have just launched two Spanish brands, Springfield and Women’s Secret, and opened a flagship store for each in Whitefield.
Tablez India is a Grupo Cortefiel brand that focuses on fashion and speciality retail and it holds the master franchise rights for Springfield and Women’s Secret in both India and Sri Lanka. Bengaluru was chosen as their first location to launch the two brands in and respective stores have been opened in Phoenix Market City Mall in the city’s Whitefield district. The two stores will be headed by the Managing Director of Tablez India, Adeeb Ahamed, and they were formally opened by Eduardo Sanchez Moreno from the Spanish Embassy and Antonis Kyprianou, Group General Manager for Franchising at Grupo Cortefiel who called India “one of the most important markets for us.”
Springfield is a casualwear and lifestyle brand that has already spread to 73 countries and is stocked in close to 1,000 stores worldwide. The plan is to push the brand through a mixture of flagship stores and brand outlets across India following the reception of their first flagship store. Women’s Secret is currently stocked in 82 countries and specialises in lingerie as well as sleepwear, swimwear, and homeware.
Both brands will continue to expand in India over the next six months, six more stores are set to open and the plan is to have 75 stores open and operational for both brands by 2021. These brand launches are part of the wider strategy of Grupo Cortefiel as they are currently focusing on expanding into Asia where they are already present in 11 countries' markets.
