Conscious Effort promotes sustainable fashion

The recent return of the annual design show Conscious Effort showcased a range of sustainable fashion brands in New Delhi and featured a panel discussion on sustainability to promote conscious fashion.

The 2019 edition of Conscious Effort, which took place at the end of last month at The Imperial in New Delhi, brought together a range of brands that produce sustainable fashion including Abraham & Thakore, 11.11/ eleven eleven, and Amrich. Attendees had the chance to shop the brands with the knowledge that all featured products were created using sustainable and/or eco-friendly production methods.

Other featured brands included Aroka which showcased its latest range of loose, free-flowing separates, Saahra with its range of minimalist clothing, accessories, and homeware, and Chokhi Chorri with its selection of Bohemian-inspired dresses and tunics. Akashi, Rehwa, Made from Malai, Turn Black, Sneha Arora, and Fantom Threads also participated among others.

As well as offering a one-stop-shop for sustainable fashion, the event featured a panel discussion titled “Cultural Sustainability”. The discussion was led by journalist Bandana Tewari and explored how culture and sustainability interact. 

The event also featured a “Get Dirty! Masque Masterclass” wellness workshop by Purearth founder Kavita Khosa. The workshop aimed to engage guests and explore the topic of personal wellbeing.
