Colosseum launches in Hyderabad with seven-storey design space

Home textiles, décor, and design business The Colosseum has opened a new address in Hyderabad to showcase hundreds of Indian and international brands. The store is spread over seven floors and measures over two lakh square feet. 

The Colosseum opened its doors with an event attended by over 400 interior designers, architects, and other notable guests, the business announced in a press release on May 1. The store features over 100 soft furnishing brands, over 200 home décor accessory brands, and over 120 furniture brands among other design categories.  
 
“This is an extremely proud moment for all of us,” said The Colosseum’s co-founder Neeraj Harkut in a press release. “A design centre of this scale will put Hyderabad on the global map and bring in designers and homeowners not only from India but Internationally as well.”

The store was designed by Kunal and Khushboo Khandelwal of Studio Design Inc and the brand describes it as, “India’s largest design destination”. Each floor features a different product category and the store is designed to provide Hyderabad’s premium shoppers with one-of-a-kind collectible pieces, according to The Colosseum. 
 
“Our objective is to bring the best of product design and luxury home décor under one roof and make sure that the buyer need not go anywhere else for their home needs,” said the business’ co-founder Tejas Timbadia. “Moreover, we wanted to create an international buying experience and hence each floor is designed differently. Walking through The Colosseum is almost like living through a story that unfolds each step at a time.”
