Collective Brands says CEO steps down, names interim CEO

June 15 - Footwear retailer Collective Brands Inc said Matthew Rubel resigned as its chief executive, and the company named its senior vice-president Michael Massey as its interim CEO.

Rubel will also step down as the company's chairman and as director and board member Scott Olivet will become the non-executive chairman.
The Topeka, Kansas-based company said it has started looking for a new leader, but Massey said he was not interested in running the company on a permanent basis.
Shares of the company were trading flat at $14 after the bell on the New York Stock Exchange.
