“India is a rapidly growing market for the company, with 70% of orders coming from Indian small and medium enterprises,” said Club Factory’s founder and CEO Vincent Lou, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. “By adopting a local marketplace strategy, the company has seen its total order volume increase by over 100% since the beginning of the year.”

The business was permanently banned in India in January, 2021 along with 58 other Chinese apps including clothing brand Shein and video app Tiktok. The apps were blocked due to security concerns, according to the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and the decision came about at a time when tensions between India and China were running high.  However, since then a number of these apps have begun to function again in India.

Club Factory ranks as the top app in the shopping category of the Google Play app store, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. The business has opened a new warehouse in Mumbai to facilitate its expanding operations and now has three warehouses in India. The business has plans to continue to open warehouses in line with its continued expansion in the country.
