Club Factory onboards over 10,000 sellers in 2019
Leading e-commerce platform Club Factory has witnessed a fourfold increase in its seller base and now has over 20,000 registered sellers as of December 2019.
The company managed to on-board more than 10,000 sellers this year and plans to carry this momentum to 2020.
Club Factory had raised $100 million (Rs 710 crore) in October this year to expand its presence in the country by onboarding more sellers to widen its product range.
Talking on the announcement, Vincent Lou, founder and CEO at Club Factory, said, “Club Factory is witnessing a strong momentum and growth in India and we are very confident to carry this momentum to 2020. We are happy with the faith reposed in us by over 20,000 sellers and are confident that our approach will strengthen our position as a leading marketplace for local sellers in India, offering the best prices to the buyers.
“In addition to being the zero-commission platform, we are developing multiple approaches to empower SME sellers. The next focus will be to help more SME sellers to reach the benchmark of 15K orders per day. We are investing heavily in technology & infrastructure to make it operationally possible."
Club Factory started operations in India in 2016 and was recently named as the third most popular e-commerce platform in India behind Amazon and Flipkart by data analytics platform App Annie.
