Cloud Tailor raises $1 million to fuel growth plans

Cloud Tailor, a direct-to-consumer (D2C) platform has raised $1 million (Rs 7 crore) in a pre-series A funding round led by 35North Ventures along with Mergerdomo.

Cloud Tailor will utilise the funds towards the expansion of personalized fashion fulfillment centres across eight cities in India (Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, Kolkata, Pune, Chennai, Patna, and Mumbai) and growth of its technology team and the marketplace business models for Cloud Tailor.
 
Commenting on the funding, Susmitha Lakkakula, founder of Cloud Tailor in a statement said, “We are excited to announce 35North Ventures and MergerDomo’s investment in Cloud Tailor. Founded in December 2020, Cloud Tailor is the brainchild of Hyderabad-based wife-and-husband duo, Susmitha and Rudra Pratap. Cloud Tailor claims that it will be operational across 20 cities in the coming two quarters.
