Ready-to-wear brand Shaye has increased its focus on sustainable fashion and launched an upcycled clothing line for women designed to provide eco-friendly western wear options for the modern Indian woman.

Shaye’s ‘Upcycled Collection’ sees the high-street womenswear brand increase its commitment to zero-waste fashion, the brand announced in a press release on January 20. The new line features shirts, blouses, t-shirts, and accessories including headbands and scrunchies which are all made from fabric scraps which would have otherwise gone to waste.
“Choose the Frida tee, a cropped t-shirt with an unexpected back created entirely from a variety of otherwise-to-be-discarded fabrics; the easy, breezy Adelita Kimono Top, made entirely of scrap fabrics to create a stunning silhouette; or the Viva La Vida Kimono, ideal for layering over just about everything, to add a pop to any outfit,” the brand announced in a press release.
The Indian-made line has launched on Shaye’s dedicated e-commerce store and prices for garments range from Rs 1,600 ($21.46) to Rs 2,400 and accessories prices range from Rs 350 to Rs 550. The line has a bohemian aesthetic with mixed prints used to highlight the use of fabric scraps and turn it into a design feature.
