Claridge's teams up with Vogue UK to honor 100 years of the fashion bible

Luxury hotel Claridge's has joined forces with style bible British Vogue to celebrate the magazine's upcoming fashion exhibition.

The London hotel is launching a fashion-based guest experience, "Vogue100 with Claridge's," to mark the magazine's 100th birthday.

The package includes an overnight stay at the Art Deco hotel as well as two tickets to the upcoming exhibition "Vogue100: A Century of Style" at the city's National Portrait Gallery. Two manicures at the Claridge's Health Club & Spa, champagne upon arrival to the hotel, breakfast for two and a copy of the Vogue100 exhibition catalogue, signed by the curator and British Vogue's Contributing Editor Robin Muir, also form part of the deal.

"Vogue 100: A Century of Style" will showcase over 280 photographic prints from the British Vogue archives, dating back to the magazine's debut in 1916, when the First World War meant that copies of American Vogue could not be shipped overseas, leading to the launch of a British edition. The show will look at UK fashion and culture through the lens of the publication, decade by decade, covering style, taste, the arts and society.

Featuring early 20th century vintage prints, iconic fashion shoot snaps and unpublished pieces, the exhibition champions the work of renowned creatives such as Cecil Beaton, Lord Snowdon, David Bailey, Nick Knight and Mario Testino, among others.

Famous faces set to make an appearance in the photographs include Lucian Freud, Marlene Dietrich, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lady Diana Spencer and Fred Astaire. Some of the century's best-known fashion designers, such as Dior, Saint Laurent and McQueen, will also be featured.

Claridge's has a long tradition of placing itself at the center of the London fashion scene, recruiting designers such as Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, Lanvin and Burberry to create its annual Christmas Tree over the years.

"Vogue100 with Claridge's" runs from February 11 through May 22 to coincide with the opening dates of "Vogue100: A Century of Style" and is priced from £650 (about €850) for a one-night stay for two guests.
