City Centre set to launch as Guwahati's first mall this December

City Centre Mall will open in Guwahati for a pre-launch at the end of the month and will be the city’s first complete mall. A 35,000-square-foot Shoppers Stop will be the mall’s anchor store.

“We have space for every possible thing a shopping centre can hope for,” Gaurav Paliwal, the leasing and operations head at Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited, told IndiaRetailing. “We have anchor space up to 35,000 square feet; over 10,000 square feet of space for entertainment; 3-4 identical spaces of 2,000- 3,300 square feet each for [food and beverage] and we have also a food court built over 25,000 square feet with 12 counters and a seating capacity of over 500 people.”

The average store size will be between 250 and 1,100 square feet and part of the mall’s first floor will be dedicated to menswear, shoes, and women’s western wear. The second floor will include sportswear, children’s wear, and ethnic wear. The ground floor is dedicated to national and international premium brands and will also include a beauty section with brands including Mac and Kama Ayurveda set to retail from the space.

The Shoppers Stop will retail multi-brand clothing for men, women, and children. The store will be the mall’s main attraction. City Centre is a chain of malls that operates across India.
