As part of the new initiative, Chumbak is encouraging customers to list their pre-loved laptop sleeves, bags, watches, cushion covers, and furnishings on its online store, the brand announced in a press release on March 14. The launch is designed to add to Chumbak’s mission of embracing sustainability as a core brand intent.

“Chumbak was born as a brand that manufactured in small, mindful batches,” said the business’ CEO Vasant Nangia in a press release. “Over the years, we’ve kept our inventory forecasting conservative to avoid overproduction and wastage. With Relove, we’re taking our commitment to conservation a step further by enabling our customers to sell their preloved Chumbak products on our platform.”

“We are so honored to be Chumbak's chosen partner to power their resale initiative,” said Relove’s co-founder Kirti Poonia. “With advanced technology, newer sustainable models are possible in retail. This is a big step towards reducing the brand's carbon footprint while helping its customers.”

Chumbak was launched in Bengaluru in 2010 by husband-wife duo Shubhra and Vivek. The brand aims to bring comtemporary Indian design to the masses through homeware and lifestyle accessories. The brand manufactures its products as locally as possible in order to positively impact community livelihoods across India.
