Chola the Label launched a playful, dynamic, and androgynous collection named ‘The Awakening’ at the ongoing Fashion Design Council of India x Lakme Fashion Week on October 6.

The collection had a bold colour palette of lime green, navy blue, magenta, and red, which was contrasted with all white and black and white looks. Layered outfits played with proportion and danced around along with the models to create a joyful atmosphere.

Ruffled collars and cuffs added an Edwardian touch and the androgynous silhouettes added a modern feel. Oversized shirt dresses, co-ord sets, and voluminous trousers stood out along with tunic dresses and kurta-style sets. As the models gleefully ran around the building, the film evoked the feel of a Gen Z party.

The fashion film was directed by Fahd Shah and featured music by Raghav Meatle. Cinematography was handled by Chinmay Bokil and choreography by Vahbiz Mehta.

Running from October 5 to 10, the second edition of FDCI x LFW features fashion films, digital presentations, NFTs, and a Virtual Showroom for buyers. The event is sponsored by Rise Worldwide, Trell, Ajio and Nexa, among others, and aims to push the boundaries of phygital fashion.
