The licensees include; M. Hidary & Company, which specialises in the design, manufacture and distribution of men’s and boy’s casual sportswear, sweaters and outerwear.

“The company will service a diverse customer base of national and regional chain stores within the sports specialty, department store, mid-tier, and mass-market tiers,” Cherokee said in a press release.

Another is Bentex, which specialises in the design, production and sales of newborn, infant and toddler boys and girls clothing and layette.

One more is H.I.S. International, an apparel fashion house for the children's market for girl’s active wear, sportswear, dresses, denim, and sweaters, which will be distributed to major retailers.

Dreamwave, an industry leader in design, quality and sourcing has been signed for swimwear and sleepwear will distribute to a wide range of department, specialty, mid-tier and mass retailers.

“We are very excited to announce the first phase of strategic licensing partnerships that will expand category reach and satisfy the demand for Cherokee branded products,” said CEO Henry Stupp.

“We expect these partnerships to be the first of many, as we will be finalising additional licensees for apparel, footwear, accessories, home textiles and room décor in the near future,” he too added.

“The growing strength of our licensee base will provide our retail partners and their customer’s full access to an expanded assortment of Cherokee products for the entire family,” Stupp stated.

He further added that they are currently engaged in discussions with retailers and wholesalers that have expressed strong interest in their expanded category offerings in both the physical and digital space.
