Chennai Super Kings partners with Baseline Venture to launch merchandise
Three-time Indian Premier League champions Chennai Super Kings have partnered with Baseline Ventures through various licensed firms to launch its exclusive merchandise for the 2019 IPL season.
Under the partnership, CSK will sell merchandise like watches, fitness bands, apparel, fragrances, accessories and more through its official website, app, and also through the stores and websites of the licensee firms.
CSK has joined hands with Sonata for watches and fitness bands, The Souled Store for apparel, Oye Happy for gifts, Xavier Laurent for fragrances and Cover It Up for accessories.
Dunzo has been signed up as a licensed delivery partner for faster delivery to CSK fans.
“We are thrilled about the launch of our licensed merchandise and we see licensing as the next step in the evolution of Brand CSK,” KS Viswanathan, CEO of Chennai Super Kings, said in a statement.
Vipin Nair, co-founder, Baseline Ventures added, “Our objective is to use the licensing model and make CSK one of the biggest sports retail brands across stores and e-commerce platforms. We have some great licensees on board across different categories and we will introduce more licensing categories in the near future and hope to add to the existing licensing partners of CSK.”
CSK will play Royal Challengers Bangalore in the opener of the 1PL-12 tournament on March 23.
