Celio begins to reopen stores with new safety measures

Menswear brand Celio has reopened its key stores in India with a new set of health and safety measures. The brand’s e-commerce store has also resumed deliveries to most locations.

 
Celio has opened its stores in cities including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Calicut, Pune, Nizamabad, Warangal, Belgaum, Siliguri, and Bhatinda following regulation relaxations during the extended lockdown, IndiaRetailing Bureau reported. The brand has made it mandatory for both shoppers and shop staff to wear face masks in the reopened stores. 
 
Other safety measures enforced by Celio to encourage shoppers to return to the brick-and-mortar outlets include regular deep cleans of the entire store, disinfecting trial rooms after each customer visit, steam ironing all clothing, and personal protective equipment for shop staff. Employees are also required to change their gloves between four and five times a day.

“The Covid-19 outbreak has found all of us rearranging our lives and work like never before,” Celio India’s chief marketing officer and e-commerce head Abhishek Shetty told IndiaRetailing Bureau. “Things of convenience aren’t so anymore. However, the steps taken by our government are crucial to our well-being, and surely if we follow the precautionary instructions provided to us, we’ll soon enough beat this pandemic, and rise stronger as a nation.”
 
“While we are unable to open all our stores yet, we are happy to announce the re-opening of our few key stores,” said Shetty. “At Celio, ensuring our customer’s safety is of utmost priority and we are taking all the precautionary measures to make the customer’s shopping experience pleasant and safe. We have also resumed sales on our website.”
 
Celio is based in France and entered the Indian market over a decade ago. The brand retails through branded outlets across India and specialises in men’s casual wear.
