CavinKare launches India’s first sachet perfume

​Indian FMCG major CavinKare has launched the country's first branded sachet perfume under its flagship brand ‘Spinz’, with an aim to make high-cost perfume affordable to the rural segment.

The Chennai-based firm has priced the Spinz perfume 2 ML sachet at Rs 3 and aims to expand its customer base across rural and urban markets with this product. It will be available in two fragrances: purple blast and blue magic.
 
CavinKare has launched the product in two key markets of West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh. It will expand its footprint to other states in the coming months, it said.

“Sachet perfume is a revolutionary product that is much needed in a market like India. The innovation behind packing perfume as a one-time usage product in a sachet form will bring a wind of change in the FMCG industry and pave way for many products to follow suit in the personal care segment,” said Venkatesh Vijayaraghavan, director and chief executive officer personal care & alliances at CavinKare, in a statement.
 
CavinKare is one of India’s leading brands in the personal care space with shampoo brands like Chik, Nyle, and Meera, as well as fairness cream brand Fairever and deodorant and talc brand Spinz.
