Tanishq-owned omni-channel jeweller Caratlane has taken its India store count to 80 with the addition of two new stores in Chennai and Maharashtra.
The company opened its 79th and 80th stores at Adyar, Chennai, and Nagpur, Maharashtra, respectively.
Both Chennai and Maharashtra are important growth markets for Caratlane, which is why most of its stores are located are these states, according to brand executives.
“Chennai has always been a key target market for us and since we received great response from the other three stores, it was the next logical step to launch a store in Adyar, one of the prominent residential areas in the city," said Mithun Sacheti, founder and CEO of CaratLane, in commenting on the Chennai store.
On the Nagpur store, Rajan Amba chief operating officer of Caratlane added: “We are excited to open our first store in Nagpur. When we witnessed an increasing demand for lightweight everyday jewellery from the residents of the Orange City, it was only logical to start our journey here as well.”
Caratlane will further strengthen its retail footprint across India by opening ten more stores, as it aims to close the current fiscal year with a store count of 90.
