CaratLane launches exclusive Harry Potter jewellery line

CaratLane, a Tanishq partnership, has joined forces with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products to launch an exclusive Harry Potter themed fine jewellery collection. The line is made with 14 carat gold and diamonds.

Looking to galvanise a younger customer base ahead of the holiday gifting season, CaratLane has delved into the magical world of book and film series Harry Potter, the brand announced in a press release on December 20. The collection features charms and symbols taken from the fictional world and reimagined as lightweight fine jewellery.   
 
“CaratLane has always strived to bring innovation to jewellery design and the launch of Harry Potter x CaratLane takes the brand one step ahead,” said CaratLane’s head of design Kinnari Shah in a press release. “Catering to different budget friendly gifting options, all designs of this collection are available in the price bracket of Rs. 4,500 to Rs. 25,000. Showstopper pieces include a movable time turner bracelet that turns, snake ear cuffs for the Slytherin house fans, Triwizard cup and winged key necklaces that glow in the dark. Favourite icons like the snitch, glasses and lightning bolt scar, Hogwarts crest and a Patronus charm and pieces with customisable names and initials are also included.”

The collection is also embellished with enamel, gemstones, and pearls, with several designs featuring glow-in-the-dark elements. The line launched in Mumbai on Tuesday and has rolled out across over 160 CaratLane stores across India. 
 
“By launching the Harry Potter x CaratLane collection, we are also trying to target a new audience; teens, tweens and those in their early 20s,” said CaratLane’s vice president of marketing Jennifer Pandya. “These designs are sure to fascinate them and their love for the Harry Potter franchise and create a sense of nostalgia with these designs. This collection aims to widen the target market towards younger age groups as well and the price range of this collection also facilitates this.”
