Campus Activewear names Sanjay Chhabra as chief financial officer

Footwear business Campus Activewear Limited has named Sanjay Chhabra its new chief financial officer. Chhabra will step into his new role on June 1 and brings with him 25 years of experience in finance. 

Chhabra’s term of employment will continue until his resignation or reaching the age of retirement in line with the business’ internal human resources policy, the business stated in a regulatory filing, ET Retail reported. Chhabra has worked as a chartered accountant and company secretary and was previously vice president of finance at Whirlpool India, the Indian branch of the US-based home appliances business. 
 
Chhabra has previously worked for businesses including Visakhapatnam Steel Paint, Otis Elevators, Dr Reddy’s Lab, and Carlsberg Breweries. The executive has experience in areas including margin expansion, working capital optimisation, and enhancing cash flow, the Economic Times reported. Chhabra will utilise these skills at Campus Activewear to boost financial growth. 

Campus Activewear retails athleisure themed footwear for men, women, and children. The brand retails from its dedicated e-commerce store, multi-brand online platforms, and stores across India. In April, Campus Activewear acquired a land parcel in Himachal Pradesh’s Paonta Sahib and plans to develop a new facility to facilitate category expansion and business growth.
