Campus Activewear sees net profit increase three-fold to Rs 39.6 crore in Q4

Campus Activewear Limited saw its net profit increase three-fold to Rs 39.6 crore in the fourth quarter of the 2022 financial year as revenue also rose to Rs 352.33 crore.

The footwear business had high predictions for its fourth quarter results and these proved correct as the business reported its figures in a regulatory filing on May 31. Revenue for the quarter increased by 28.07% year-on-year from Rs 275.10 crore in the fourth quarter of the 2021 fiscal to Rs 352.33 crore a year later, the Press Trust of India reported. 

“Net profit during the quarter stood at Rs 39.61 crore, PAT [Profit After Tax] margins expanded by 760 basis points year-on-year to 11.2% in Q4 FY22,” read the business’ post-earnings statement, accessed by the Press Trust of India. During the fourth quarter, Campus Activewear’s expenses increased by 31.05% year-on-year to touch Rs 295.30 crore, up from Rs 225.32 crore in the fourth quarter of the 2021 fiscal. 

The brand’s performance for the whole 2022 financial year was its highest performing to date in terms of revenue, according to Campus Activewear’s chairman and managing director H K Agarwal, ET Bureau reported. Covid-19 disruptions had continued throughout most of the year but the brand saw its net profit increase four-fold during the fiscal to total Rs 124.41 crore up from Rs 26.86 crore a year before.  

In the current financial year, Campus Activewear plans to strengthen its retail footprint in both western and southern India. The brand will also focus on the premiumisation of its products and pursuing omni-channel growth.
