After having just announced a few weeks ago its arrival in the Asian market via Hong Kong, COS revealed its plans to open stores in Italy, Finland and Kuwait.

The Kuwait store will be the brand’s first ever boutique in the Middle East, scheduled to open after autumn in “The Avenues”, one of Kuwait’s main shopping centres. The new launch comes as a result of a partnership with M.H. Alshaya Co., the local franchise operator. “We are happy to collaborate with a group which is well-recognised and experienced”, commented Marie Honda, the brand’s director. “Its commitment to its customer service and its knowledge of the local market makes it the ideal partner for COS’ first franchise agreement.”

Meanwhile, the Swedish retail chain owned by H&M will be taking a first step into the Italian market in spring. Its first store will be found on Milan’s exclusive Corso Venezia street, which is part of the city’s Quadrilatero della moda shopping district. But COS is not stopping there: two more stores will be opening their doors in Helsinki, the brand’s first one in Finland, as well as another one in Gothenburg, its second one in Sweden.

Offering more upscale products than its famous parent company H&M, COS operates 49 stores in nine countries including the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Spain and Ireland. The brand currently has 8 stores in France but, according to what their team told us at the end of last year, that number could be soon going up to 20.
