Brides of Mumbai to hold 2020 editions this January and July

Bridal fashion exhibition Brides of Mumbai will hold a spring edition from January 24 to 25 at Mumbai’s Coomarswamy Hall and a summer event from July 4 to 5 at the city’s World Trade Centre.

Brides of Mumbai’s upcoming January event “Limited Edition” will showcase collections by around 30 designers, the event announced on Facebook. The business-to-customer shopping fair will feature a special showcase of the brand Rohit Verma’s latest traditional wear designs for the spring wedding season. 
 
The January edition will also feature womenswear designer Ritu Kumar’s new homeware collection and a sale on the designer’s bridal wear and “essential wear”. Other participating brands will include jewellery label Anuja Exquisitte, bridal wear and footwear brand Nawabi Studio, linen dress label Meraaki, and accessory brand Ouch Pouch among others. 

The event aims to showcase “products that are genuinely unique and also have a cultural context,” according to the event’s Facebook page.
 
From July 4 to 5, the event will set up shop at the World Trade Centre in Cuffe Parade. The exhibition will have a Diwali and wedding theme for the autumn festive season and will also feature designer Rohit Verma, a long-time participant in the fair. 
 
The event’s previous edition ran from October 9 to 10, 2019, and featured a mix of luxury and bridge-to-luxury brands. The event is organised by events business Woman’s Extravaganza’s director Sarika Desai and has run since 2012.
